On the way to CiSM
Today, we start our travel to Denmark, not by plane, but by bus, to this year's Military World Orienteering Championships. This gives enough time to do anything or something or nothing :)
After a morning training session and a breakfast with my Master of Fotoshooting, Roland B., I started heading north. Of course, I only have excellent memories from last year's CISM in Brasil, but I'm also optimistic for the competitions in Denmark, although the terrain will be completely different to last year and also completely different, much more difficult - at least that's what JWOC 2010 runners say - than what we were training during the last weeks and months in Switzerland and Sweden. Furthermore, the opponents are partly the same, partly different, so we will se. However, CiSM always offers interesting competitions and a friendly atmosphere with the runners from the other nations. As we will arrive in Denmark tomorrow afternoon, we have some trainings to get used to the terrain...
Last week, our national team stayed in Switzerland, doing some trainings in Pre-Jura and Middle-Land terrain. You find the maps here
On the weekend, we got the possibilty to join the Swiss EYOC and JWOC selection races -- middle and long. Results, splits, Routegadget, etc. can be found here.
