equator approach

Some days are left, until I'll go on the first of March to Kenya for my first high altitude training camp ever. Making the final preparations, doing blood test and endurance test tomorrow, I am looking forward with high interest to the outcome of my three week stay at the training camp of the run2gether team in the south west of Nairobi. I'll keep you updated....

At the end of my winter indoor running season, I participated in the Austrian indoor 3000m championships. I wanted to improve my time from the 2nd of February (8.58), but failed closely with 8.59. I like it to compare myself from time to time with the best athletes in running. I knew, that I would be far behind the winner, but it was a good training anyway. The thing I don't like is, that the space on the 200m track is very limited and some runners think that they have to use their elbows regularly (they should participate in the 800m race :) )
Hopefully, there'll be some improvement after the Kenya travel...
