Last Friday, most national team runners met in Schwechat to pass three different parts of the elite program: 5000m track run, a cognitive test and a combination of track running and cognitive abilities.
As Markus planned to run the 5000m another day, I had a lonely race from the start to the end. I tried to reach 15:30, but after the first kilometer I started to lose some seconds, and finished in 15:38. Some seconds faster than my former best time (15:49). The cognitive tests were interesting, something we have never tried before within our team. Although we are expecting the results in some days or weeks, I already have to admit, that there is still some hidden potential to explore.
